Active ingredient: Tadalafil

Therapeutic effects:

Cialis (Tadalafil) is an effective inhibitor, that belongs to the group of phosphodiesterase type5 (PDE5). The mechanism of work can be described as the following. The sexual stimulation leads to the local release of nitric oxide and inhibition of PDE. Tadalafil causes the increase of the levels of cGMP in the cavernous body of penis. As a result the smooth muscles of arteries are relaxed and blood flows to the penis. That causes erection. Tadalafil will not have effect if there is no sexual stimulation.

Indications for use:

Cialis (Tadalafil) is being taken orally and it is being used for curing male impotence, that is commonly known as men's erectile dysfunction. Effect of Cialis starts working in 30 minutes and lasts up to 48 hours. This is the most lasting drug among other drugs, that treat men's erectile dysfunction.

Adverse reactions:

The side effects are mild and moderate and decreasing with the continued use of drug. The most frequently reported side effects are headache (7%). Other common side effects are pain in the back, nasal congestion and hypersensivity. Edema of the eyelids, eye pain or dizziness might occur in very rare cases.

Drug interaction:

Cialis or Tadalafil citrate is known to have negative interactions with the following groups of drugs:

a) Alpha blockers for hypertension or benign prostatic hyperplasia, such as:

• Alfuzosin
• Phenoxybenzamine
• Doxazosin
• Tamsulosin
• Silodosin

b)CYP 3A4 inhibitor medications, such as:

• Delavirdine
• Erythromycin
• Atazanavir
• Fosamprenavir
• Amprenavir
• Imatinib
• Ketoconazole
• Clarithromycin

c)Nitrates, such as:

• Isosorbide dinitrate
• Nitroglycerin tablets or capsules
• Nitroglycerin ointment

d)Blood pressure medications

e) Other PDE5 inhibitors, including:

• Other pharmaceutical forms of sildenafil
• Tadalafil
• Vardenafil

Contraindications and cautions:

The drug should not be taken in the following cases:

• if you are using other drugs that contain any organic nitrates at the same time
• if you are hypersensitive to the drugs of Tadalafil group
• if you suffer from kidney or liver failure
• if you have stomach ulcers
• if you have history of stoke or heart attack
